An Associate Coach Member possesses a basic level of coaching expertise and must be able to:

  • Create rapport to any coachee;
  • Identify the problem behind the symptom;
  • Assist a сoachee to elicit the core values and to resolve conflicting values;
  • Assist a сoachee at both conscious and subconscious levels;
  • Assist a сoachee to set up an ecological goal, create focus towards it;
  • Assist a сoachee to identify resistance, check the ecology and if necessary create the change needed to achieve the goal;
  • Assist a сoachee to set up a plan of actions and a way to evaluate the steps leading to the goal.

How to become an Associate Coach Member?


To become an ICTA Associate Coach the student should have at least 200 hours of training in coaching:

  • at least 10 hours of received personal coaching/therapy,
  • at least 5 hours of received supervision on her/his client work given by a professional supervisor acknowledged by the Accredited Institute,
  • at least 5 hours of coaching sessions given to clients unknown to the student

The ICTA training hours are 50 minutes.

This membership level is evaluated and certified within an accredited ICTA training program by the ICTA Professional Trainer or Master Trainer.

This level of membership is free of charge.

What privileges does this level of membership give me?

  • Information about you (your photo, description of your professional activity, contact details) is posted on ICTA website in the Associate Members section;
  • You can refer to your ICTA Associate Membership status in communication with your clients.

ICTA offers 3 kinds of Professional Membership:
a) ICTA Master Coach,

A Master Coach is a person who:

  • Creates rapport at a deep level to any coachee;
  • Identifies the unconscious patterns and core inner conflicts behind the symptom;
  • Assists a сoachee to develop awareness of his/her emotional state, unconscious behaviour patterns and underlying frustrated needs/values;
  • Assists a сoachee to find and learn new emotional and behaviour strategies which are more supportive and ecological for fulfilling the needs/values in question;
  • Assists a сoachee to find and heal traumatic events from the past influencing his/her present state and strategies;
  • Assists a сoachee to become aware and slowly change co-dependent relationship patterns;
  • Assists a сoachee to make lasting change at subconscious and conscious levels;
  • Assists a сoachee to set up an ecological goal and create focus towards it;
  • Assists a сoachee to set up a plan of actions and to find the deep motivation to create the life s/he wants.

How to become an ICTA Master Coach?

To become certified as an ICTA Master Coach the student must have 500 hours of professional training in coaching and other methods of practical psychology/therapy including

  • at least 50 hours of received personal coaching/therapy,
  • at least 10 hours of received supervision on her/his client work given by a professional supervisor acknowledged by the accredited institute,
  • at least 30 hours of coaching sessions given to clients unknown to the student.
The ICTA training hours are 50 minutes.

The Accredited ICTA Institute decides the methodology and contents of the training courses.

Certification takes place individually by presenting a session either with a live client or on video to a Master Trainer from an Accredited ICTA Institute.

Only Master Trainers can evaluate and certify Master Coaches.

Certification should be paid and booked in advance with a chosen ICTA Master Trainer and can take place offline or online. The certification fee is decided by a Master Trainer, but should not exceed 250 Euro.

This level of membership is free of charge.

  • You can refer to your ICTA Master Coach Membership status in communication with your clients,
  • You can use ICTA logo in your marketing.
b) ICTA Professional Trainer
b) ICTA Professional Trainer
A Professional Trainer is a person who:

  • Creates rapport at a deep level with any group;
  • Can lead the group participants into different states to support their learning;
  • Can teach any topic within his chosen specialty overtly and covertly;
  • Can teach to the participants' conscious as well as subconscious mind;
  • Supports participants' learning processes and growth in many ways;
  • Can design new training courses and exercises;
  • Can do effective demonstrations of all topics, exercises and coaching sessions within his specialty;
  • Can give feedback to others with excellent rapport.

How to become an ICTA Professional Trainer?

To become certified as an ICTA Professional Trainer the student must have 500 hours of professional training including

  • at least 200 hours of professional training program in his/her specialty (Coaching, NLP, Enneagram, Hypnosis)
  • at least 200 hours of basic training in practical psychology / psychotherapy / coaching, including participation in training courses, personal change work, client work and supervision
  • at least 100 hours of Trainer's Training
The ICTA training hours are 50 minutes.

The details of the contents of training courses will depend on the student's choice of specialty (NLP, Enneagram, Hypnosis, Coaching).

Certification takes place as a written evaluation covering basic and advanced knowledge of the student's specialty (NLP, Enneagram, Hypnosis, Coaching) and an oral teaching session, evaluated by a Master Trainer from an accredited ICTA Institute.

The students are certified as Professional Trainer within their chosen specialty.

Only Master Trainers can evaluate and certify Trainers.

The certification fee is decided by a Master Trainer, but should not exceed 250 Euro.

This level of membership requires a fee of 100 Euro which is paid at admittance and then should be renewed every 5 years.

What privileges does this level of membership give me?

  • Information about you (your photo, description of your professional activity, contact details) is posted on ICTA website in the Professional Trainers section,
  • You can accredit your training programs with ICTA, which will entitle you to use ICTA logo on the certificates that you issue,
  • Students who graduate from your coaching training programs that have been accredited by ICTA will be able to apply for ICTA Associate Coach Membership,
  • You can refer to your ICTA Professional Trainer Membership in communication with your clients,
  • You can use ICTA logo in your marketing.
c) ICTA Master Trainer

An ICTA Master Trainer is a person who has an extensive training experience, who is a role model for other Trainers, and who has contributed with new developments within his/her field. ICTA Master Trainers have the privilege of certifying members at levels of Master Coach and Professional Trainer within his/her field. They set up and supervise the training programs of the ICTA Certified Institutes, and guarantee that the Institutes offer their students a high level of training, meeting the standards of ICTA.

An ICTA Master Trainer meets the following criteria:

A. Practical experience
- A Minimum 5 years as ICTA Professional Trainer within his/her field, doing a number of successful trainings per year at basic and advanced levels, at least 200 students during the period.
- Must have assisted at a Trainer's Training (10 days) at least once.

B. Contribution
- Must have contributed to the development and marketing of his/her branch (such as: NLP/Enneagram/Coaching/Hypnosis) by publishing a book / a video course or the like.
- Must have developed a new and unique training program in accordance with personal values, using personal talents and resources.

C. Demonstration of the following competencies
- Being able to teach at basic and advanced level with immediate recall of any topic from memory without notes;
- Being able to put any topic into a bigger frame, explaining its connection to his/her specialty as a whole;
- Demonstrate ability to shift between content and form / between experience and labelling;
- Demonstrate ability to do what one is teaching and to teach what one is doing;
- Demonstrate knowledge of the branch, its history and development and of related organisations worldwide.

D. Excellent level of trainer skills:
a. Group rapport, pacing and leading;
b. Respect for audience;
c. Ability to answer questions;
d. Designing goals for a teaching session and accomplishing them;
e. Designing new exercises and explaining them;
g. Using metaphors and trance with group;
h. Be a master of giving feedback;
i. Do successful demonstrations before the group;
j. Lead group processes;
k. Demonstrate a personal style, using personal strengths.

How to become an ICTA Master Trainer?

When a Trainer meets the above criteria, he/she will ask a Master Trainer to evaluate his/her skill level. The Master Trainer may suggest more training before certification, such as:
- co-teaching or assisting at one or several basic trainings / or advanced trainings with feedback;
- individual follow-up sessions;
- assisting at a Trainer's Training one more time.

When the Trainer meets all the above criteria, he/she will be certified by 2 Master Trainers during a training session.

The Trainer will pay the Master Trainer their expenses and a fee decided by the Master Trainers (this fee cannot exceed 250 Euro per person).

This level of membership requires a fee of 100 Euro which is paid at admittance and then should be renewed every 5 years.

What privileges does this level of membership give me?

  • Information about you (your photo, description of your professional activity, contact details) is posted on ICTA website in the Master Trainers section,
  • Your training center becomes an ICTA Accredited Institute,
  • You are entitled to create your own training programs as well as accredit and supervise training programs of ICTA Professional Trainers within your field, thus ensuring high quality of professional training offered by them and correspondence to ICTA criteria,
  • Students who graduate from your coaching training programs can apply for ICTA Associate Coach Membership,
  • You are entitled to certify ICTA Master Coaches (for Master Trainer in Coaching) and ICTA Professional Members,
  • You can use ICTA logo on the certificates that you issue,
  • You can refer to your ICTA Master Trainer Membership in communication with your clients,
  • You can use ICTA logo in your marketing.

Professional Trainers can accredit their training programs with ICTA. Accreditation confirms that the training program meets ICTA educational criteria and entitles to use ICTA logo on the issued certificates.

Each training program is supervised and accredited individually, the fee for accreditation is set by the Master Trainer, it should not exceed 250 Euro and is paid one time only.

If changes are done to a training program that has been previously accredited by ICTA, the program needs to go through the accreditation process again.

To apply for accreditation of a training program you need to contact us at [email protected], stating which program you'd like to have accredited. We will connect you with the Master Trainer, who will be accrediting your program.

ICTA Accredited Institute is headed by a Master-Trainer and carries out professional training programs in Coaching, Enneagram, Hypnosis and NLP that meet ICTA educational standards.

Master-Trainers can apply for the status of ICTA Accredited Institute by contacting us at [email protected].

There is no additional annual fee for an Accredited Institute.

People trained somewhere else than with an ICTA Accredited Institute can join ICTA if they fulfill the criteria and can provide all the necessary documentation for that (certificates, documented client work, individual coaching and supervision).

ICTA is a non-commercial organisation and therefore we do our best to reduce or do without membership fees as much as we can. Up to date only Trainer's and Master Trainer's Professional Membership requires a fee, which is 100 Euro paid at admittance and them renewed every 5 years.

These fees are used by ICTA to administrate membership service, ensure certification criteria and market the Association and its members by running the website intercoaching.net.

Certification fees as well as fees for supervising and accrediting training programs are set by Master Trainers as payment for their work and will largely depend on the average wages of a chosen Master Trainer as well as the time needed for each particular supervision.
